The Greene County boys soccer team kicked off its season with a 7-2 win over West Marshall last Thursday at home.
Greene County saw five goals from Gesser Gutierres in the first half, holding West Marshall to two. The Trojans were unable to score in the second half, with the Rams scoring two, one from Nathan Behne and one from Guiterres from a penalty kick. Gabe Ebersole had an assist, along with seven saves as goalie.
“Overall a solid first match of the season outcome. Have some touches and some back line communication to clean up, but overall proud of the effort and production of the guys,” commented coach Carl Behne. “JV also won 4-0. Great night of Ram soccer all around!”
